Live the life you want to live ~ The possibilities are endless ~ |
When you see a butterfly what thoughts come to your mind? How does a butterfly become so beautiful? If you think back to grade school, you might have learned that there are four stages to a butterfly's lifecycle. Egg Stage: The egg consist of a hard outer shell.
Larva Stage: Most of the caterpillar's time is spent eating.
It has the ability to produce chemicals that can be toxic, allowing
the caterpillar to protect itself from predators. Pupa Stage (cocoon): The caterpillar looks for a safe place to form a protection shield (cocoon) and grow. Metamorphosis takes place and the butterfly emerges at the end of this cycle. Adult Butterfly: When the caterpillar has completed forming and changing inside the pupa, a butterfly emerges. After a few hours of rest the butterfly is ready to fly and start his life. I believe that everyone has a butterfly within themselves. There are times when a person creates a hard outer shell to protect themselves and this often results in counterproductive behaviors or experiences, which can become toxic or interfere with living the life you want to live. Once a person understands the role that their toxic shell has played in their life, they will be able to form a healthy protection shield, allowing them to grow and have more positive experiences and relationships in their life. The metamorphosis is set in motion.
The psychotherapy experience supports a person's journey in moving from the
egg stage through the butterfly stage, allowing one to live the life they
want to live.
